:: Stanley Plumly's many awards include the Delmore Schwartz Award, the William Carlos Williams Award, the Academy of American Poets' Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, an Ingram-Merrill Foundation Fellowship, and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. Old Heart is his tenth book of poems. Plumly also recently authored Argument & Song: Sources & Silences in Poetry (2003), a collection of essays on topics such as the poetry of Stevens and Plath, and the paintings of Whistler. His meditation on the poet John Keats, Posthumous Keats, is forthcoming. Plumly is currently a Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park.
