:: James Lasdun was born in London and now lives in upstate New York. He has published two previous collections of poetry and three collections of short
stories, including Besieged, whose title story was made into a film by Bernardo Bertolucci. He has taught poetry and fiction writing at Princeton University,
New York University, and Columbia University, and he is the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship in poetry.
