The Origins of Evening
"Here is memory at its most scalding, intense, and rigorous."—Eavan Boland

"Gibb writes lyric poems with grit and grain; poems that tell stories in beautifully metered lines and stanzas that dig into the page like toeholds on a rocky cliff face: perfectly placed, a bit precarious, but lifesaving."—Booklist

Robert Gibb has published three previous selections of poetry, one of which, Momentary Days, won the Camden Poetry Award. He lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and teaches at the University of Pittsburgh.
